The immense richness of Basque dialects is meaningfully reflected in the texts gathered by Prince Luis Luciano Bonaparte. The web page presents the digitalised version of all documents that comprise the aforementioned corpus, combining Corpus Linguistics with the new Language Studies.
This collection of dialectal and diachronic texts gives the opportunity to offer the digitalised version of those texts, applying the Extensive Markup Language (XML) to the corpus. This globally used conventional and interdisciplinary system of POS (part-of-speech) tagging is the most suitable one for our project as it provides the representation of literary and linguistic texts, giving priority to preservation, teaching and research.
Therefore, an enriched edition of the texts is presented, one that counts on suitable requirements for a conventional edition. Thus, the researcher will be able to do contextualised search in the easiest and most accurate possible way thanks to the detailed POS tagging of the texts. |
